Wii MotionPlus

The latest must have gadget for the Wii is the MotionPlus accessory arrived in June 2009. This little device plugs into the Wii Remote in the same slot used for the Wii Nunchuck and provides a far more accurate representation of the users arm movement. The MotionPlus device offers a true 1:1 response to even the slightest movement, twists or turns in the players arm.

The Wii MotionPlus device will add approximately 4cm to the length of the Wii Remote and uses an angular rate sensor to determine additional movement in the Wii Remote.

The MotionPlus device will be available as a standalone device or bundled with various MotionPlus games such as Wii Sports Resort, Virtua Tennis, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and Grand Slam Tennis.
